My dear colleagues,
Personally I can smell how you feel so sad for the news announced by TWNLINTOP about the targeted reduction of headcounts in coming days. Indeed it is so unfortunate to see that this 2nd wave of staff lay-off is happened so soon when the last wave of sacrificed staff is reporting as last day on this Monday in Kaohsiung.
Currently we are working with HR about the possible criteria of selection and how many percentage/headcounts could be affected for TWN OPS. In this Friday, the name list will be finalized and individual staff will be interviewed or informed accordingly on next Tuesday. At current situation of economic recession worldwide, believe all of you fully aware how this similar situation is seriously prevailed in entire society via the TV or Radio or newspaper and you could be the unfortunate one same as those in other companies. For this action by the company, we have no choice but need to accept the fact if you are selected as redundant staff.
The next question then will be how you can adjust your mentality and adapt this cruel reality if you are eventually selected as the redundant one. From management like me, we are of course not so willing to see this kind of result when we are working together so many years but what can we do? Protest? It is entirely useless as you know. Hope you can peacefully accept the fact when you are presented with termination notice next week and think about how you cope with the future life or plan a new career if any.
Lastly I would say sorry that I cannot protect you in all but rest assured that I will try my best to convince and minimize the impact toward our department as less as possible. However at this stage of bad atmosphere, I would still request all of you to fulfill your job and maintain the good quality as usual no matter you are the lucky or unlucky one in coming days.
